Outpost is known to overcharge. To me, the range is already fine. TF2Finance has it at barely more than 27 http://tf2finance.com/

Outpost may be more than others but it is the primary trading ground for buds.

TF2Finance tracks trading sites and trading servers.

I concur with Villian, tf2finance is what is most commonly used to keep the current price of buds up-to-date. It has still yet to hit over 27.5 keys and if you look at the last suggestion of 27-28 keys, you'd see that base64 (the maker of tf2finance) was the only who stated why that price range was accurate. I do not find this one to be.

Outpost Earbuds sellers also buy Earbuds from Outpost to restock,

otherwise why their stocks are continual?

        Diary time -

At this rate, buds will be 30 keys by Christmas. The only reason why they might go down is for a crate unboxing craze this Christmas (if there are no christmas unusuals, then this won't happen). Same thing with keys, I am seeing 3.11 ref trades on outpost O_o....

If we don't let them go up then when they do go down they may a greater disturbance in value, a problem present during the Halloween update.

I don't understand what you mean...

What happened during halloween was a bunch of quicksells to get keys. The demand for buds didn't necessarily go down, per say. The demand for keys just went up.

My issue I guess is how backpack.tf addresses keys and buds. Those are both currency which are always in demand. Outpost is known as a place to highball currency (promos and keys) and a well established source to buy keys and buds.

By using evidence from outpost, we are only helping to increase the price inadvertently. We KNOW (should know by now) that whatever price we determine valid as of today, sellers will ask for a key more. Buyers, in their desperation, often pay whatever asked eventually. Sellers, don't mind waiting and sitting until they find the right buyer, this is apparent on outpost especially when it comes to currency.

So I ask, why do we keep messing with it? There will be NO bud/key crash. Halloween was not a crash, just a key cash out. I say we should refrain from messing with key and bud prices altogether.

              END RANT

We should try to be impartial and treat this item just like any other item. It shouldn't be treated any differently, really. If it happens to be trading at a certain price, the price guide reflects that fact.

im gonna upvote, i think you may be right

Proof 27 keys is out of date: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6663927

see how long it takes for there to be alot of offers.

                  1 taker after 7minuites

Selling Buds for 27 Keys as of this moment.

Do not click the links after a few hours and tell me that "it's sold ages ago/Buds not in backpack"

I'm talking about this very moment which the sellers still have Buds in their backpack.

Yeah, I gotta downvote this one. Good evidence against it, and TF2finance says otherwise.

                      In addition,

to prove that 28 Keys is the price, you need to show trades at all three prices, 27,28,29. They always have spread.

Sigh... Current spread is correct. This suggestion doesn't hold water and http://tf2finance.com/ proves it. Sorry bud. DOWNVOTED

I've just sold 4 @ 27 keys each. Many others sold them @ 27 keys as well before I got to the people buying them.
