Flat 3.66.
We all know why.
seeming as the other post is saying that nobody is selling for 3.55 but the tf2 finance range at the time fitted perfectly for 3.55-3.77, it would make a better range then increasing again. but I cant see this getting accepted.
even brad admitted that flat 3.66 would be best as that's where majority of the trades happen.
Brad also said metal should be lower, clean scarf to be price as un craft scarf. HIS WORDS ARE NOT FREE REP, stop agreeing with him just because he made this site(which making has nothing to do with trading)
Exactly, I don't know anything people -- please stop listening to me and make your own judgement calls :D
Well. Call me stupid, but I don't know why.
I'll watch the ensuing arguments then.
you fool! you foolish fool!
Inb4 flamewar and Poncho Eastwood rage and stuff.
guys, just don't touch this, it gets nasty.
1390 votes on long atm
why don't they lock key suggestions for anyone without 2000 rep or admins?
stop these nasty disputes, if we don't like the price then we downvote the one suggestion that it will get.
That's because most sane people who've accumulated 2000 rep or admins do not touch the price of keys simply because it is such a nasty and heated debate that gets into name calling rather quickly along with weird side tangents in the comments.
HEYO!
this is a much better suggestion than the other one, but you do need proof. and tons of it
i don't need proof if everyone knows that it's true. theres already a key suggestion up by long. see that the majority of the trades happen at 3.66. (80%) and minimal trades happen above and below it.
still need proof. at least repost those links
the whole point is the proof is based on outpost which bases their price on backpack.tf and because keys have no cosmetic value the price is constantly rising.
so using proof from outpost is allowing the inflation to happen.
Buyers trades happen at 3.66 sellers' trades happen at 3.77
I know it too, but without providing any proofs, some people will downvote
Uhm... Why?
People have been seing proof for it just yesterday and the day before in other key price suggestions. Anyway, I think this can be good, the current range is too big and pro keys seller/buyer take avantage of the current range.
sure, why not, i'll burn a vote on this. because i think it's the right thing to do for a while to keep the economy sane. see my comments on long's thread if you have the stomach for it :)
No......
I buy at 3.66 and am lucky to buy 5 a day, snd i easily sell out at 3.77 within a couple minutes......
Longs suggestion fits the current market much brtter (and he also shows proof).
I want to say few things:
We all know the demand of Keys is higher than Ref. Therefore Key's price in $ is higher than $ of REFs.
The recent price[in REFs] rising of the keys is caused partly by Steam Community Market. It's releasing caused additional demands on the keys. But it alone can't rise price of keys by this ridiculous level of 3.44-3.66. The reason of rising this were greedy sellers, who wanted to sell their keys for higher and higher price.
You know what is happening here?
Answer:

A in that picture on wiki are sellers/buyers. B = backpack.tf
A checks price on B.
A: Oh price on backpack.tf has rised. I need to get more refs(buyer)/ or sell key for more refs(seller). [1]
..in same time... greedy sellers are "suggesting" a bit higher price + 1 more scrap. And they give us links with trades from [1]
B: somehow they convince backpack.tf people. and then key price got rised[i]
And so ladies and gentlemen, we get infinite cycle of A B. And so keys's price in Refs will rise, until when someone on backpack.tf change this.
^^ This guy here... understands the current state of the economy.
i just wish i could like this multiple times. it's what i've been trying to say in the Long thread but this is a much more concise explanation.
remember - keys have no cosmetic value and thus using outpost as proof does not apply. because keys are currency, not hats or strange weapons the demand for which ebbs and flows based on actual player whims.
even if that's true, it's our objective to document the prices. if people keep consistently buying keys from the "greedy" sellers, then the price will continue to rise.
Interesting theory, but even though the price is 3.55-3.77 on backpack.tf, there are already countless people trying to sell keys for 4 ref at this right moment. Everyone's in it for profit, that's what you need to realize.
Gud proof i see
You cannot find 3.66 anymore. Actually keys range either flat 3.77 or 3.77-3.88
