NOTE: Will close this based on suggestions since it seems I didn't factor in enough overpay to the low of 20. Will reopen with modified price. Thanks for the feedback guys.
From Shadows sold his Disco Impaler for Electrostatic Executioner (bptf value = 19.1) + a Vintage Bills (bptf value = 1.7). Trade here: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13808220
Purchase price based on BP values = 20.8 buds.
I purchased my Disco Imapler + Disco Reggae for a Miami Nights Brotherhood (bptf value = 33.7). Trade here: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13153967
The Reggae I flipped for Vintage Max (12) + .5 sweets (trade here: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13773055). So 33.7 - 12.5 = 21.2 purchase I paid for the Impaler.
Based on these 2 sales, I would suggest a low value of 20, with a high end value of around 22. Both transactions were right between with a median purchase price of 21. I'd appreciate thoughts or feedback, thank you!
You need to factor in unusual overpay.
The other prices for hats set on Backpack already have unusual overpay factored into their own prices so their prices should be static. Do we factor unusual overpay on top of unusual overpay? Just trying to understand how the % of unusual overpay is determined. Thanks.
Yes you do, unusual overpay must always be factored in a price suggestion
Sorry, just trying to understand. Hat X is priced at 19 on BP because people paid 21 in unusuals. If I trade for hat X with hat Y, I can't use Hat X's value of 19 because I paid with an unusual? Wouldnt that render all values as invalid? Because others that have been set can't be used as an actual price.
Regardless, I included a low price below the median purchase price. Are you saying the 20 low is too high? If so, what would you suggest? Thanks.
Just to keep things simple, if you are setting a price using unusual sales, just multiply the middle value x 0.9 and that becomes an accurate price
I appreciate the tip. I'm still learning how BP values things, I assumed they factored used their own set prices to determine prices, apparently they dont. So in this case, median purchase is 21 in unusuals so X.9 = 18.9? Would high end still be the prices actually paid? Or do we not factor in the value of prices paid or the value of the hats traded?
U paid miami brotherhood -_-
For Disco Impaler + Disco Reggae. Yes.
Miami brotherhood could go for 50++, no idea actually.
Reggae is 8 - 10, Impaler is about 17 - 20. Wasn't such a juicy deal.
Well to be fair, Miami Reggae is priced at 10-12 on BP and Disco is higher. And BoA price suggestions of 50+ have all been shot down.
In short, new sh*t is falling hard.
