From Shadows sold his Disco Impaler for Electrostatic Executioner (bptf value = 19.1) + a Vintage Bills (bptf value = 1.7). Trade here: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13808220
Purchase price based on BP values = 20.8 buds.
I purchased my Disco Imapler + Disco Reggae for a Miami Nights Brotherhood (bptf value = 33.7). Trade here: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13153967
The Reggae I flipped for Vintage Max (12) + .5 sweets (trade here: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13773055). So 33.7 - 12.5 = 21.2 purchase I paid for the Impaler.
Median Unusual Purchase over 2 transactions: 21 buds. Factoring in unusual overpay, 18.5 low-end to 21 high with multiple recent transactions at 21.
Vintage Max is Duped. 12 buds is the price for a non-duped Vintage Max head
Edit: I was stupid. They're all duped. UpBoat
They're all duped on the market and pretty sure the clean one went for a fortune... Feel free to show me a link to a clean one for 12 if Im misspeaking.
I know. I edited it.

Sold for 12
gg
The first one ever unboxed was sharked for 2. Should that be factored into the equation as well? You didn't mention that the guy who paid 12 was the same one who sold for 20.8 above. Nice profit...
It wasn't sharked, the guy that sold it on outpost needed the 2 buds and was happy even people told him he could have gotten more for it. I'd call that an outlier.
Electrostatic Ex = 17 after overpay - current bp.tf price is messed up due to currency changes. You can check, multiple b/o's at 19 on the market. So that sale was ~18.7.
We can't put a value on the second sale because the reggae is unpriced. Feel free to make a suggestion on the reggae first and then establishing a price here.
Here is the rule for reference: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/3306-new-rules-regarding-unusual-suggestions-please-read/
Basically, establishing new prices on hats based on other hats with highly variable prices is not a great idea. That's why we want firmly established sales. And honestly, neither the executioner nor the disco reggae nor the miami nights brotherhood have very firm values to establish this range with confidence. But if you can price that reggae, it would be reasonable to price this afterwords.
The Miami Nights Reggae is priced at 10.5-13.6 on BP. Feels like a safe line for comparison with Disco being the upgraded version of the effect. Even used as a baseline, it would fall right in line with the price estimates I was using.
We can't price based on comparisons like that. We need firm sales to establish prices.
