This may be a controversial suggestion but I think a valid one.
The sell trade with the accepted offer.

I want to point out this:

This trade had plenty of exposure and anyone wanting this rare hat had a chance at it. It also never had a successful suggestion on it.
Could I have gotten more if I had accepted unusual offers?
Sure but that's part of the problem. Prices for unusuals start out high (hype price) and when we can't get the pure back out of it we swap for another hat with the hopes that we can get pure for that and so on it goes.
I did not do this trade intending to lose on it but I knew I likely would because I was working this hat in trade servers before and on outpost some and realized there was no demand for it. Most hats are overpriced but few traders will allow themselves to publicly take a loss on it so they work it and eventually we try to get 2 hats for one because cheaper hats sell for pure more easily.
Discussion for this suggestion can be done here:

Third link is this hat I sold which I got by auctioning an orb fire juju. Ur other links r quicksells showing the lack of demand for the hat plus you don't know the final paid, do you? Note my comment about hat swaping. We are using hats to price other hats. I am showing a pure sale which has more wieght and plenty of people had a chance.

"Quicksell" trade > auction
Lol. First one is the guy I got the hat from and the second one is the guy I sold the hat to.
That's a messed up statement. At least an auction has a competitive componant toit that will boost the sell price at the end. You are logically backwards.
What I meant is, that people were able to quicksell this hat for a higher amount than what you sold it for in your auction.
Not by much if they did.
Little bit of a jump, but i feel where your coming from
Here is the actual transaction:
