I would say 5 buds is a strong outlier. There is an unsold buyout of 4 buds on the market for 3 months at http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11517407 and there are a total of 7 sales under that price in the last two months.

One sold, one's unsold. Dupes don't really matter on hats of this value any more.

Given that 5 buds is creating a 1.5 bud range, do you have any more proof for 5 buds as the high end?

Weird, sorry about that. I had assumed he owned two and that he still had them because the trade was still open. It could be lent out or on the market though. He's still taking offers.
