Since I just sold this to one of the nicest traders I've ever met, figured I'd update the price for them.
SALES:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18520092 Sold here for 2.5 pure (B/O was also 2.5 pure so it makes for a nice high end)
Item histories:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,2442558168,323,5
http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,2420481883,143,6 Verrrry difficult to trace buds, but here's at least one.
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/19005477 Sold for Ghosts Geisha (2) + B.M.O.C (0.5... do you put overpay on a B.M.O.C? It's KINDA pure, I mean, not as pure as a Max, but... but regardless, even WITH overpay the total goes to 2.25, which I'd round to 2.3 anyway. )
2*0.9 + 0.5 = 2.3
Item Histories: At time of writing the histories haven't updated, so here's some Backpacks for ya:

So there you have it. First time I've done a Gen 1 effect, let's let this ride and see how we go.
I don't know if I',m blind, but how do you know that the first link sold for 2.5 pure without any solid proof?
I can't absolutely 100% guarantee it, such is the finicky nature of pure, but based upon the facts that:
- The buyer was keen to get it to finish a set
- It definitely sold for SOME pure
- The seller had turned down higher offers
I think it's a reasonable assumption. And regardless, the 2.5 B/O would be defining the high end anyway. But, I appreciate your constructive criticism.
I wouldn't really base the price on assumptions
.
Also:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/18529393:
Offers:
Terror Chieftains Offers (2.2 buds) [Offer Value: 1.9 buds]
37 keys (2 buds)
Dead Presidents Yellow Belt (2.3 buds) [Offer Value: 2 buds]
2 buds
Dead Presidents Voodoo Juju (3.5 buds) [4 month old price] {Offer Value: 2-8-3 buds?}
2.3 pure
http://www.tf2outpost.com/search/202668895 - Browsed around all trades and:
- The guy who sold it for the 2 buds and BMOC offered on those other trades and were rejected
- Lots of B/O's at 2.5-3 and lots of offers at 2 which are rejected
So seeing as your first proof isn't exactly valid, I would look through those trades and go to the history to find more info. But seeing the offers and trades I would say maybe maybe lower the low-end a tad?
There's dissonance in your comment. You suggest lowering the low-end, but surely my low-end sale being rejected by a lot of sellers would imply it needs to be higher?
The DP Belt is going to spike in value, making half of your shown offers valid AT LEAST in my range. And offers mean little anyway. Some guy offered me an Orb. Fire Fez for my Anti-freeze Gym Rat the other day, doesn't make the fez 4 buds or the gym rat 1. I do really appreciate you going out of your way, but, your proof is less valid than mine :/
I went through trade histories before I posted this, of course I did. Asides from that pure sale (which I'm 95% confident in and from this point on will consider the doubting of a personal attack on my credibility) there's VERY little else about.
first trade is 1 month old, so no valid proof
downvote for now
Um, excuse me? 1 month old isn't invalid, sales go out of date after 3 months, I've been led to believe.
I think only when the old price is like 7 months old, 2 month old proof can be valid? But yeah 1 month old is valid here :)
the thing is that there is no reason to assume the hat went for the bo.. i cant even find it on trade.tf, so for me its not a valid trade .. he could have sold it for 1 bud only :/
But what's more reasonable, really? I've provided logical rhetoric, you're trying to, unsuccessfully, back me into a corner to justify your incorrect reason for originally downvoting.
You are wrong. There is PLENTY of reason to make assumption, as I've ALREADY explained.
you have to come down my friend ^^
you have 2 sales for proof, so the absolute minimum required. and one of them has no proof for any price other than a bo (that is no valid proof)
if you provide other proof, or find a way to proof the first trade i reconsider my vote. getting mad about it doesnt help the discusion ^^
You're wrong AGAIN, you only need 2 sales for new hats or effects.
Getting mad is justified when the majority of your critique is either irrelevant or conjecture.
ok, then get mad, i cant tell you what to do can i ;)
but, as i said: there is no proof for the first trade.. if there is (and as i said, his bo is no proof) you can tell me and the hole discusion would be over ^^
also i never said you need more than 2. i said 2 is the minimum, and that one of your 2 is not valid proof, makes it 1 sell
2 is not the minimum. This is not a new effect. Therefore 1 is the minimum. See how calm and not mad I am even in the face of your abject ignorance?
yea, i can smell your love and respect ... anyways
if your range is 2.3-2.5 you need proof for that range, means you mean 2 sells. you have 1: 2,3 .. if your range would be 2.3 the hole thing would be different. but it isnt
I took two hours out of my day tracing buds to appease you, I really do hope you're happy...

There's the other two buds involved in the trade. The owner gave him change. Can we PLEASE now agree it sold for the B/O.
