why did you put unsolds in anyway?

It was not my main focus, that was addition - these are rare cases... If you believe they're irrelevant, you might focus on solds, sellers, buy request sections. I posted some solds/sellers that does not support my range, this was also an adition.

Unsolds isnt needed for raising, you could be counter-proving yourself. jus sayin'

This would be quite a weak counter-proof of me :D It is high-end range, it might be normal if some sellers got unsolds. Either they are inactive, or bumped badly - who knows.

Well, backpack.tf as well as other 'price guidelines' sites don't making price, they just represent it. Price for any item here made by people who willing to pay it, and who paid it already.

The solds section isn't fair proof!!! So many of the solds are either sales still open where no one has commented (doesn't count as solds), closed sales where no one has commented or added (doesn't mean its done and sold for that price, just means he closed the sale without anything happening- in this way someone can put up a price for 20 ref, close it, and you could use it for proof) or just put up with random unrelated comments (still doesn't mean its sold at the sellers price!)

This means the solds section, which is very important to price change isn't accurate!

eg. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/23343624 This was the fourth down in the solds for 9.88 in your suggestion. There is no comments or anything in the trade, just someone putting it up for sale without any actual selling success!! Many more of your solds proof is like this!

well, every piece market as sold has it mark on "item history". Not all people make mutual acceptance, and key sales do occur. It's going to be pretty difficult to buy keys at that price now, they sold within seconds at 9.33-9.55 in the last two days, but yeah, I'm also trying to save.

Im down with the sickness. Upvote based on sales ive done as well. Though i think a flat 10 ref pricing would do more justice to the suggestion. The ones sold ubder 10 are a but of quicksells if you ask me.

I would assume it won't change much. People were to sell and buy for higher price before this suggestion.

Only question is - do we resemble current economy AS IS or we use other means to regulate the market.

But, as I've heard before, we're not here to regulate but to display current economy patterns.

Both hype and demand won't last forever, believing this would somehow destroy economy (I belive) is a myth. I have tons of ref that I personally don't bother to sell, although value will drop for a short period of time

I think the current suggestions(suggestions in this week) of keys are frightening people. Therefore, people are desperate to buy whatever the price is and this drives the price of keys even higher. When they buy keys at higher price, suggestion can be made to raise the price of keys. A vicious circle is then formed. With a new cool down rule, I hope people can really understand the market change instead of being panic

Yeah. Then will come one day, when Christmas season will be over (or faster) when people just stop bother to buy keys. What will do sellers? Either they wait until next Christmas/Haloween (:D) or they will lower their price.

People have been saying that for years, fact is keys cost money and metal is free (you play you get) so you have a fixed currency and one which fluctuates to match that fixed currency. Key haven't changed at all it's actually metal depreciating in price keys are still 1.85-1.9 paypal and 2.5usd from the store and have been for ages.

Only reason keys have jumped in price is because of halloween where everyone stocks up on keys to try unbox a special effect

I understand and agree with u. However, what I mean is that the price of keys drop a little bit to 9.33 ref after some time or may be increase afterward. I am not saying that the keys drop to 1 ref

In order for that to happen valve needs to give metal a purpose, something useful for metal to do (eg bread box which made keys drop slightly) atm as it stands metal is useless, craft = loss, it isnt accepted as currency in any other economy other than in tf2 and it's too easy for people to get metal.

Actually Valve has all means of changing anything they want. They did rise key / tools price (wallet money). Any update they come up with might sort things in different direction. I think everything is pretty under control of theirs.

We're just distributing part of their changes and these changes constantly demands to "fit" which may be difficult for some individuals and may seem confusing.

Whilst i agree that valve controls everything eg the breadbox update which made everyone sell off keys and craft which purged a lot of metal and slowed the increase of keys, metal is still never the less useless and hold no purpose other than to buy keys.

Unfortunately valve cannot screw around with the tf2 market too much as tf2 is the "central" market where most of our currency is used in practically all other economies and is the only widely accepted currency to buy games, they probs wont want to screw around with that.

actually refined is not as worthless as it seems. You can buy quite much of low-end items for cheap prices with it and sell on SCM. I do agree they will not mess around to destabilize the market. Thanks for feedback, you gave great points of economy to reconsider (at least for me) ;)

Almost all your sold's are on 1> hour interval. You also can't ignore huge amount of buy requests for 9.66. And you can't ignore proof i provided. (You actually can, but it won't make your suggestion more legit) Thanks for trying trough ;)

Your investigation also "skips" 10 ref sold's. Cherry picking isn't good thing.

Even they sold fast, my proofs do show that 9.33 happens a lot of times, which means 9.33 should not be excluded out of the range. Backpack records the most common trading point, not records "who is buying for highest price".

And as I said, those are every sales in the last 13 hours I can find on trade.tf. If you can find more 10-ref sales in last 13 hours, show them. I'm not cherry-picking proofs here.

Well, supply is available for 9.66. Everything below is quick-sell. Why? About anyone can buy (and does so) keys for your listed prices and about instantly "cash out" for refs. I believe this is not valid pricing methodology and makes no sense.

I saw this comment "For example, if there are a 100 sales..." many times especially in key suggestions but it also says "if a buyer can go on the market at any point of time - today, tomorrow, in 2 days - and find at least a few sellers at...". But it's difficult to find keys at the low end most of the time. Forget about 2 days, even the day the suggestion was made most of them are sold super fast and it's too difficult to get one for that price. I get confused by this everytime :/

Sso my point is that not super hard sell it at 10refine but take time sell it and find keys at 9.66refine is getting hard to because toke me a while for me get some keys for that price. I hope this help somebody out with price and everything but I say most time when sell it for 10refine somebody that buying alot of keys at once and come to me because I have more then enough for all there refine ^-^

Don't you worry about my bumping, I've been doing so, but I've just given up. I've been doing some business with keys these days and the realistic price is currently 9.66. 9.33 are sold way too quickly (hell, it's a good price for merchandising), implying that this is a low-end price. I've sold 1 key at 10 ref and that was before I've put it up for this price, I don't really know why someone offered more than I had asked. 10 ref is currently too high, sorry, even though I've given you an upvote (kinda hypocritical, but I like to see my keys being worth more).
