You should've paid attention to the Earbuds' history. They were going to skyrocket back.

nobody knew, because buds became available on market.

everyone knew. it happens periodically every year at this time. halloween and christmas uncraters want to get keys, and people interested in tapping the steam sale want keys as well, as they're far faster to sell on the SCM than buds. After christmas, however, the demand for keys goes down significantly, resulting in buds shooting back up to where they were.

Cooldown only applies if the change is 2 keys or less. Anything that is 2 keys or higher is allowed.

Looks like the hype is over. Haven't sold another at 18. Sold none at 17. I'm back to 16 keys and no one is buying even at 16.

I feel like TF2 economy has basically lost all logic.

"RAISE THE KEYS, LOWER THE BUDS!" The keys raise in price, this making buds cheaper.

Out of nowhere the Super traders come in.

"Listen here, the BUDS SHALL RAISE!" Boom! In a little over a day, buds skyrocket up 7 keys

"Keys! Ref! More ref!" Ref continues to appear, and keys continue to raise.

If both raise there is a chance many other things will begin to lose value. Cosmetics, craft hats, etc.

I'm just along for the ride like everyone else. Thankfully I was smart enough to fast trade between keys and buds, then get my unusuals.

I am scared to see what the future will bring. Valve, we need a metal sink so keys plummet. Sure buds can rise, but if keys continue to rise... Will scrap to unusual even in a week even be plausible?

1) Keys never went up in price. They are always worth 1.99€. The metal price and demand went down by a lot which made it more expensive to buy keys with metal.

2) Bud prices went down because people needed keys for the event. Unboxing sprees and the likes. A lot of players sell their TF2 stuff cheap before christmas to buy gifts in rl too. ---> lower bud prices

3) People got lots of money on/after christmas and they want to buy stuff now. ---> demand rises ---> prices rise. It's not rocket science.

Making listed those for 16 keys only make confusion and should be separated. Sellers from sales should be separated. Time frame for some subjects is rather old to make certain conclusions.

I can't support this suggestion until more certain proof of actual sales are marked. I would advise to format suggestion properly

Cool-down does not apply when community does not decide pricing. This is rather discussion. Mod have final word, and yes, some instances are rather questionable. It is evident to know that bp.tf can price things, but price might not reflect reality. This should be accepted AS IS, it is a good thing that most people take their own measuring and do not fallow this questionable path.

About suggestion, it might go trough if the same thing continues and there is sales within supported range, if this not happens, usually suggestion is placed on halt.

So if this gets accepted, this will be the 3rd time buds raised in price with in one day. Crazy isn't it.

Update (Nov. 18, 2013): The cooldown rule will not apply for suggestions that alter the mean of bud's value by 2 keys or more. The intention of cooldown rules is to minimize the impact of bp.tf's influence, and changes of that level in that short period of time show that the market is moving to a degree that bp.tf's impact is negligible.

Yesterday it was 10-11 keys. After "night of miracles" and only 36% upvoters we have 17keys...

Many believed, including myself, that the cooldown period exists when it goes up too.

I was pretty lucky to spend 210 keys (19 buds) on an unusual back when buds were 11 keys each. Now my investment is worth ~333 keys. The rest of my buds were bought between 12-14 keys though. Not the best, but still something.

It's just funny to see people complaining about how they lost profit because of the economy.

Why are people acting surprised buds are going up again? They always go down near the coming of winter and rise near new years.

I think there all surprised because most people are new traders like me who have been around less than a year (Even though I'm heavily into the community and realised they would jump). I think its also down to the fact that the young kids are mad because they used to be able to buy a pair of buds but now they can buy half a pair. (just a theory)

20 Hours later, and a mass number of sellers at 16 keys emerges. Just look at the classifieds, almost 7 entire pages of 16 Key sellers along with a few ones below that.
