Suggestion: Mann Co. Supply Crate Key at 12–13 ref

Panic sellers, and the fact no one can actually TRADE items with API being down all day so sellers continue to undercut each other on classifieds. Once API is back up, there's going to be alot less keys on there.

when people mass buy keys from the market during holidays and valve adds a one week no trade period, after the week ends, we have a mass amount of sellable keys, more than buyers. Then prices go down. Its a system of supply and demand. The supply and demand was consistent during the steam winter sale, however, during the sale, many keys were bought. Increasing the supply while not reaching the demand because of a one week grace period. Finally, when the supply can be open to the demand, there isn't enough demand, so the supply has to slash prices to keep up with demand.

And after the first drop suggestion passes, people panic and everyone tries to sell their keys.

So what you are also saying is that this is the worst possible time to sell keys and the best time to buy them as in your theoretical situation they will have a rebound period

Because parents bought their kids some keys on Christmas and keys are untradable when they first bought them. Therefore, after one week, tons of keys came to the market and panic kids sell them for lower and lower price

Yup but why they aren't 2.33? When i remember for long time keys were 2.33. Then they jumped to crazy prices.

Because back then Refined metal was more useful, now there are so many hats and items out in the market that opening crates is not or maybe soon was not as profitable as it could be, again, supply and demand

There are sellers for 9 and 7

Unfortunately, they don't make up the majority as of now. There are always going to be a few outliers whenever an item is being sold.

i have items in keys but more refs so People sufered of sellers that was selling keys for 18 19 even 20 ref now is the time of buyers x333

I have noticed some listings with the low price are not actually selling anything (Trolls). People adding them and sending them offer but no response.

The key market is erratic at the moment, new cooldown rules should be created because changing the price of keys every hour is ridiculous.

backpack.tf needs to be accurate and with new cooldown rules it'll probably limit/control the market even more than it has not intended to.

Traders will still lower their prices to compete with each other, we've been seeing a ton of this the last 24 hours. Suggestions can't even keep up with the current going rate. What this comes down to is a small percentage of panicked traders inadvertently "controlling" the market by undercutting each other to unload their keys quicker then the next trader. So now "quicksells" dictate the market value.

scrap.tf is selling and buying for 12.22 and 12,.66 ref and they are being bought and sold for that price

it is now at 12.44 and 12.88, but the point is, there is no available key to buy right now. Meaning, all sold out at 12.88.

Take a moment to wander on over to Outpost, where you will see 14 ref and above sellers grazing about in so great an abundance that it rivals the bison population of the Great Plains prior to settlers' westwards migrations.

But seriously, you only need sellers to lower a price for an item, especially when there are a lot (and I mean A LOT) of sellers below the current price.

you should still show unsolds at the current price to remove it from the range
