they're effectively worthless, they get re-released every year and there are thousands of them put out

11948 in total. The fact that no one is selling is because it is worthless. Besides you need a sale in order to raise the price. If you can find a buyer at that price then MAYBE you'd have an argument but until then you should close this.

In my opinion, having kept it for 3 years deserves some sort of reward. The item is unobtainable and will disappear when tf2 is opened. I could have asked for higher, but as a collectable item, I believe it's worth at least something.

No. Suggestions are statements based on evidence. They are neither opinions nor belief. While they can play a factor, they are not the entirety of a suggestion. Recurring suggestions without proof can and will get you banned. Possibly try reading the Rules and Guidelines to making a suggestion before making one?
