I am new to suggestions, and I am slightly biased, but I think this unusual is worth 35 keys.

You can find sales on Outpost and Backpack.tf where you link the trade, and compare the backpack of the seller before and after the trade date.

Thanks for the help, but I wouldn't know how to "link the trade". How would I know when someone is selling this unusual?

You've linked the trade above, by pasting the Outpost trade into the suggestion, but to show what they sold it for, use the time feature to see/prove what the sold it for. For example, they sold a hat 12th May. You would compare the backpack of the seller on the 12th may to the 13th may. The new/removed items are the items traded.

Also, to raise an item's price, you need sales to show that people are willing to buy this item for above BPTF price. I could sell my random weapon for 10 keys, but nobody would buy that. That means that my random weapon is NOT worth 10 keys.

Without sales, you cannot price a hat. If there are no sales, then (if I recall correctly), you can't price the hat just yet.

"How to search for closed/sold trades:

o Currently Outpost doesn't allow for the searching of closed trades. Bookmarking links which you are tracking and returning to them later can be a good way of finding solds.

o Trade.tf's all listing's search feature. Avoid using the good deal's section in searching for sold proof. (Refer to improving suggestions for more info)

o Looking at the previously accepted suggestion the unsolds then may be now sold. Be aware of outdated proof which do not reflect current prices.

o Following histories of items. Although this is more leaning towards rare/collectable items which is beyond the scope of this guide, you can track completed item sales by looking up closed trades of the previous owners."

This isn't true at all. If it were, how would any unusuals get a price?

Check the histories of some copies of this, look for when it was traded, and figure out what was paid for it using the compare feature in the top right corner of everyone's backpack. It's not that tough. Honestly, I'd offer to do it myself if I weren't on my phone.

Well you can do it later if you want to, because I'm already fed up with this whole suggestion thing. Apparently nobody buys this specific unusual, because this unusual doesn't have a price.

The reason it doesn't have a price is less because of a lack of sales and more because nobody's gotten around to making a suggestion yet. There are a few people who will do suggestions on request, if you ask one of them nicely I'm sure they'd be willing to do it for you. Just find someone with a black belt on the site (black star next to their name), add them, and hope for the best. Worst they can do is say no.

How to find those people?

Monitor the new / popular suggestions page on the front page. People with black stars next to their name have the most experience with suggesting new prices, and are usually willing to do them on request.
