You're going to need proof of past sales if you wish to lower the price, not just sellers

i assumed since they are unsold i'd need no proof since anyone could just go and buy at that price

they may be but i can guarantee there are a bunch of sales, and sales take priority over sellers

Seeing the enormous amount of sales available I'd say it's probably fine to just use sales from roughly 1st of April onward.
