Things to highlight (not agreeing or disagreeing with the suggestion):

1) Marketplace.tf has seen abnormally huge spikes in the volume of demand on particular days as highlighted on the Sales Graph.

A couple of examples are August 3rd when the volume of sales spiked from 18 to 112 and then fell back to 14 sold on August the 4th, and August 12th when the volume of sales rose from 13 on the previous day to 428 and then fell down to 22 the next day. Sales did raise to $0.03 (somewhere in the region of 0.66 - 0.77 refined) on August the 14th but then the sales price normalised back to $0.01 from the 15th onwards until the 27th.

There is always a normalisation phase that always happens after price spikes, so the suggestion shouldn't (hopefully) be accepted straight away until this occurs and this price is consistently accurate for a considerable amount of time and not just a P&D that occurs for a couple of days / a collector buying machinas on a one-off.

2) Bot.tf sales has seen sales at 0.11 refined, which can help suggest a rise in price, however, it doesn't appear that many bots are willing to participate in the Machina market - just the odd bots that are trying to scrapbank and sell at just 0.11 refined.

3) Daily / regular stock numbers of machinas on Scrap.tf / Stn.tf would be helpful for the OP / a 3rd party to keep track of to help with providing evidence for / against the suggestion. This can be done by caching the scrap-banking bot's backpack on Backpack.tf on a regular basis. If machina stock on Scrap.tf / Stn.tf does reach back to semi-normal numbers, that does support machinas to be just another weapon at 0.05ref. If the stock is kept low, then too many people are buying it at 0.05ref / not selling it at 0.05 refined.
